LOCAL EVENTS As Stratford is known as the Peach Capital of Oklahoma, a yearly Peach Festival is held in July. Stratford has many peach orchards of various different types of peaches. Many of the beautiful orchards are viewable from one of the main highways that lead into Stratford. The Peach Festival is a weekend event, which includes a town parade, various food, merchandise, and craft vendor booths, rodeos, and music concerts. Special parades, rodeos, and celebration of local clubs, schools, and organizations go on throughout the year, showing there is always something happening in the town of Stratford.
